Moreover, it is now known that many pathogens in one community interact with each other and the process leading to disease is influenced or even driven by these interactions. Meta-Omics research enables researchers to investigate the impact of the microbial community on the persistence, transmission and evolution of pathogens, and to gain the knowledge of biotic and abiotic factors that interfere expression of pathogenesis.
